What is Air Resistance?

Le mans car
This bar is called a wing.
The cars body shape is fixed when the car is built and is not easy to vary.
But the wings fitted at the rear of the car are adjustable.
The slope of these affects the amount of downforce they produce, so the proportion of downforce front to rear can be varied to improve the cornering performance of the car.
