Vehicles use the smallest legal wings they are allowed
This is to minimise downforce so they can go faster.

The wings are set at minimum angle to the airflow also to allow the car extra speed.

High speed NASCAR cars have smaller radiator openings and brake cooling duct apertures to reduce drag.
