FRICTION

Friction produces heat!

Rub your hands together quickly and they will get warm!
This is because the friction between your fingers causes heat to be released.

tyre

Tyres get very hot from the friction at high speeds
so harder tyres with less grip are used on high speed circuits
because they last a lot longer than other tyres.
