Air Resistance

There are many different shapes and sizes of motorsport vehicles
but this is not just for show!

As things move through the air they slow down, unless you keep pushing them.
This is called air resistance.
Usually the larger the surface area the slower you travel through the air.


Certain shapes help to speed up and travel faster through the air than others
this is called streamlining!
Motorsport vehicles are deliberately shaped and streamlined to help their performance.
