Mass

Mass is how much matter an object has

A common mistake is to think of Mass and Weight as the same thing

Mass is measured in grams (g) or kilograms (kg)
Weight is measured in Newtons (N) or kilo Newtons (kN)

To work out weight (N) you need to multiply Mass by Gravity!

The minimum mass of a Formula 1 (F1) car is 600kg

Force is measured in Newtons (N)

1 Newton is about the weight of an apple

Mass is measured in Kilograms (kg)

Acceleration is measured in metres per second per second (m/s/s)
