Acceleration

Acceleration is the change in Velocity

Velocity is speed with direction
Not speed itself

(Aceleration is measured in metres per second per second (m/s/s)

Example:
To find the Acceleration of an object divide the change in velocity by the time taken for the change
Acceleration = velocity / time

Car_accelerating

If a Formula 1 cars starting velocity is 0m/s (metres per second)
And its final velocity is 27m/s
The difference is 27m/s
If this change happened in 3seconds

Acceleration = 27 / 3
Acceleration = 9m/s/s
