driver training

Driving race cars is very stressful.
The lateral and longitudinal forces brought about by accelerating cornering and braking can reach 4G.
Cockpit temperatures can be high and races are often held in hot countries to minimise the risk of rain. In order to perform well in these conditions drivers train rigorously.

Most drivers will have the advice of a personal trainer for their general exercise and most drivers will take about a month's intensive exercise (4 - 6 hours a day) in the build up to a new season.
